I need 6 more math credits for my degree from Excelsior. I have already passed the Algebra CLEP and I am currently in a online Finite Math class at UOP. I am considering the Statistics and Trig exams.

    1. Any suggestions for materials for these two exams.

    2. Any suggestions for a quick and easy 6 credits (college math exam not accepted)

    3. Who's Statistics should I take DSST or COSC or Excelsior ??

    Thanks!!

    Velleman & De Veaux

The high school were I teach was considering adding an AP Statistics course, and while searching for a text, I obtained a review copy of _Stats: Modeling the World_ by Bock Velleman and De Veaux, published by Pearson/Addison Wesley in 2004. I felt this was the best statistics book I've ever seen, with true insight into the origins of many of the arcane definitions used in statistics, and many interesting examples.

Before teaching, I was an electronics engineer, and my main use of statistics was deciding on the test limits of integrated circuits.
