And another. A reporter told me today that she received a telephone solicitation from Shefferton University, apparently in the UK. All I could find in a google search was one CV (in the Middle East) of someone claiming a doctorate from there. Is it possible this is the next new name in the San Moritz-Palmers Green-Harrington-Shelbourne-Glencullen series?
One of the things I've always wondered about these frauds: I think they offer, as part of their service, credential verification, wherein one can give his or her prospective employer a number to call (ostensibly the registrar of the "university") to verify his or her fraudulent credentials. When the school changes names, I wonder if the "credential verification" goes away too?
These and Shefferton all sound like golf courses to me. I wonder if one can get a nice, respectible (golf) handicap there? Or at least an MBA in Golf Course Management?
