Since When Did Custom Degrees Become a Partner of Degree Info?

  1. I found this posted on another forum in response to someone wanting to criticize Degree Info. Maybe Chip or another forum moderator can look into this and get their quote taken down.

Question: If you're a sleazy fake degree web page operator and another web site is getting the word on fake degrees, would you want to hurt them by DoS attacks and slander such as a fake partner listing?

I'm so confused...I need a Ray of light

Gosh, Rev. Ray, it's like some of the stuff you say about us on Mr Crabb's website.

What exactly would you like us to do about that, while we're at it?

Have you ever refuted the canard that everyone here is "RA or no way"?

Have you ever clarified that you are not now "banned"?

Have you not simply wandered over there (your perfect right, of course) seeking answers more in accord with what you want to hear (also your perfect right, of course, though perhaps unwise).

Do you believe that any untruth someone else says about you is true if you don't specifically--and to the satisfaction of the person telling the untruth--blow it out of the water?

You came here with what can kindly be called an unclear set of desires.
    You were dealt with honorably.

I don't get it. Perhaps you can explain what's going on.

Then you can tell us exactly what you wish us to do.

I wasn't being critical of Degree Info. What I was trying to point out is that the subject of this degree mill was trying to associate themselves with the Degree Info, and if they were publishing such a partnership on their website that wasn't correct, maybe one of the forum administrators could see if they can have it removed.

I think it is inconsistent for them to be advertising Degree Info on their site when they are selling fake degrees. Don't you?

  5. Uncle Janko,

I have posted to the thread on Degree Information DL http://www.aimoo.com/forum/postview.cfm?id=609377&CategoryID=366451&ThreadID=1781477&tolast=yes#bottom that I was no longer banned. I want to make it perfectly clear I no longer have a beaf with this forum. I like it and appreciate the information. I don't always agree with everything, but as I have always said, that is OK.

My real reason for starting this thread was to protect the reputation of Degree Info, nothing more. I hope this eases your frustration. Again I question, what gives Custom Degrees the right to advertise a relationship between them and Degree Info?

I am not quite sure if you are being naive or ? This is an outift that sells fake degrees. They have no problem with breaking the law. DI has hurt them and their business badly. Clearly, they posted this "partnership" to discredit DI. So what would their response be if DI asked them to remove it? Come on, take a guess!

  7. Dave, I understand what you are saying and it upsets me also. I would hope Chip and the other people in charge of Degree Info could do something about Custom Degree's false advertising regarding their partnership agreement. OK?

Maybe it's me, but if selling "fake" college degrees is breaking the law, then why are these people able to continually do business?

These people give legit "earned" DL degrees a bad rap!

Why should anyone at Degreeinfo be concerned that customdegrees.com is listing Degreeinfo as a link partner?
Sure it's fake, and Degreeinfo is in no way connected with that outfit. But it's more likely to hurt customdegrees.com than Degreeinfo.

Listing Degreeinfo as a link partner will likely result in sending potential customdegrees.com customers over to Degreeinfo, where they can read all about how customdegrees.com is not a legitimate degree-granting institution and the 'degrees' they are selling are worth no more than the paper on which they are printed. They aren't "college degrees", they are nothing more than novelty items. Anyone here would likely tell a questioner that if they want such a degree they should save their money and instead head over to Kinkos or just print one themselves on their own computer. This of course will result in less sales for customdegrees.com. Seems like a poor marketing decision on their part, but Degreeinfo has no obligation to save customdegrees.com from themselves.

  10. Interesting Kit. By the time they have a chance to log on to Degree Info, they will have spent the money. Do you think?

Not necessarily. One would hope people wouldn't be so quick as to spend their money on something that appears questionable at best. But even if they had already spent the money they are still free to put a stop-payment on their check or issue a charge-back with their credit card company.

White collar crime is (unfortunately) frequently overlooked. I would assume that most businesses probably have lost more money from theft by employees than by outsiders. When an employee is caught after committing this type of crime, they frequently suffer nothing more than the loss of their job. Academic fraud is frequently ignored by the authorities.
