I have learned sooooo much from you all about DL that I'm going to take the plunge! I’m planning to enroll into Thomas Edison in the coming week. I have at least 12 credits to transfer from local community college. I’m still working on my AA in Liberal Arts. Based on TESC’s outline, I only need 48 more credits to finally finish. I took their outline and came up with a plan. I would love any input on it. Also, which CLEP’s should I take together? Humanities ( 12 ) CLEP Humanities ( 6 ) CLEP American Lit. ( 6 ) Social Science ( 9 ) CLEP US History II ( 3 ) CLEP Social Science & History ( 6 ) Natural Science & Math ( 9 ) CLEP College Algebra ( 3 ) or CLEP College Math ( 6 ) CLEP Natural Science ( 6 ) Gen Ed Electives ( 9 ) CLEP American Gov’t ( 3 ) CLEP Human Growth ( 3 ) DANTES Intro to Word Religions ( 3 ) Free Electives ( 9 ) CLEP Into to Psych. ( 3 ) CLEP Into to Sociology ( 3 ) CLEP Into to Ed. Psych. ( 3 ) Thanks!
I have taken the following from your list- CLEP Humanities ( 6 ) CLEP American Lit. ( 6 ) CLEP Social Science & History ( 6 ) CLEP College Math ( 6 ) CLEP Into to Sociology ( 3 ) you should check with TESC before taking these exams. I only got partial credit for my Social Science and History exam because I also took History I. That is the only hole I see in your plan. I would take the Social Science at the same time (if they will be accepted) and the Into to Ed. Psych and Into to Psych. I heard can be taken by studying the same material. Good luck.
Thanks Randell! Yea, I'm going to make sure that TESC accepts my plan before I execute. Don't want to waste my time , energy and money if they woun't ake the credit! They allowed the College Math credits? My local CC that it's not considered a "college level" math. That's why I put the Algebra exam in the plan.
TESC accepts the CLEP College Math general exam for 6sh of math credit, fulfilling the math requirement for AA / BA / BSHuS. It does NOT fulfill the pre-calculus math requirement for the BSBA, though. Word to the Wise: Know basic stats for this exam, and you should land well within the "pass" range.
TESC Hello, I suggest you use the FEMA EMI for free electives. I am very familiar with the TESC program. Please feel free to contact me. Hille via e-mail
