I am trying to find a good, affordable distance learning school to get a Bachelors in MIS or Computer Science. I've been looking at Excelsior College. Does anyone know whether or not its a good school or does anyone have a suggestion for a different one? I list themselves as accredited by the Regional Accreditation - (MSACHE) Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Higher Education. Is this a real accrediting agency? I'm trying to do some research on this as I made the mistake of getting involved with Kennedy Western before doing all of my research (and before I could see what some of their own students were posting on their internal boards) and don't want to make the same mistake. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

Yes, Excelsior College (formerly Regents College) accreditation is legitimate. Middle States is a recognized regional accreditor. They are also accredited by several professional accrediting bodies.

There are 90,000 alumni who have gone through the USNY/Regents/Excelsior program over the past 30 years. Many of these have gone on to the graduate school of their choice.
