    Lerner,

I have not taken any courses with them. However, one of their campuses is about two miles from my home and I recieved some brochures and talked to an enrollment counselor.

In my opinion, they are probably about the same as UMUC, UOP, and Capella to name a few.

They are RA so it would probably serve you ok unless you need professional accreditation.

I haven't taken any of their classes, but I've taken CLEP and DSST exams at two of their campuses. The staff was helpful and friendly, but the general "feel" of the place reminded me more of a high school or vocational school than an actual university setting. The campuses are located in industrial parks, and are all fairly generic. The library facilities (where I took my CLEP and DSST exams, by the way) are sparse, with just a few shelves of what looked to be mostly IT certification manuals to me. They decorate the hallways with pictures from graduation ceremonies, which I suppose is to emphasize the students' end goal. As another poster mentioned, they are RA, but at roughly $1300 per course (4.5 quarter hours/course @ $256/hour plus books), you can do better at state schools.

I took 2 classes with them last year, and I really enjoyed them. One class I took was synch (Logic), and the other one was Async (Western Culture). The layout of the classes are pretty simple. The instructors were wonderful! My synch class was hilarious because the teacher was teaching from his home, and one time you could hear his son in the background. When we took a break, there was always this lame elevator music playing. All my tests were online, and no proctor was needed.

I would have continued taking classes, but found out that I would need to take more than I wanted for my associates. I may just go back there for my bachelor's but haven't decided.

Also, the admissions dept was wonderful as well. I spoke with a counselor in Maryland, and because it was going to be hard for me to get the 3 books I needed for the Western Culture class. She had the books there, and she copied the whole books and mailed them to me free of charge. That alone was the best customer service I had ever had.

Hope that helps you out some.
