    Hello,

    What can I expect as a fair hourly wage for a quality editor of my dissertation?

    Thanks in advance for your responses,
    Linda

    You will find that dissertation editors come in two varieties:

    1. Those who charge by the hour;

    and

    2. Those who charge by the page.

    For my money, I would prefer the second. Page numbers are more quantifiable (300 pages x $? = $$$).

    I used the service of Typo Finders. They charge me about $30 an hour and they are very reasonable. You may email them your work to them first and ask them for an estimate. They edited my Preliminary proposal, Formal proposal and Final report for about $650 (300 Pages). For more info, you may visit
    Type Finders' homepage.
    The name of the guy that proofread my dissertation is Chris. He works for Typo Finders.
