Student Loans. Grants, Aids

I am inquiring for a friend who is not sure about how they can afford transferring from a 2-year college, to a better but more expensive four-year college.

If anyone has ideas on how to get grants, scholarships etc (this person is half-white, half-african if that makes a difference), please do let me know so I can get the info to them.

You'd be helping someone get a college education, when neither of their parents did.

BTW, this is in regards to California.

Financial aid office

Just about every college has a financial aid office that can offer all kind of information about scholarships, grants, loans, etc. even before the student registers. I would check with the office at the school they are interested in.
