Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a distinct difference between a BS degree, BA degree, and just a plain Bachelor's? I'm asking this because most colleges/universities list their Bachelor degrees as such: Bachelor of Science in Computer Programming or Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration. Baker college (for example) lists their Bachelor's degree, true - however, they don't emphasize much more than that. In other words, they have their Bachelor programs listed as Bachelor's in Business Administration or Bachelor's in Computer Science, etc. Would these degree be worth less than those that stress the emphasis on a bachelor's being in a "science" or "art?" What's wrong with that picture? I've been having a hard time figuring this out - hence, my reason for posting this. Any feedback would be absolutely fantastic. of Science Bachelor Bachelor's Of Science
The difference is sometimes in the number of arts and science courses vs. professional courses in a program. In other cases, certain majors are always B.A. or B.S. degrees. For example, often a fine arts or humanities degree will be a B.A., while a business degree will be a B.S. There are also degrees that are not B.A. or B.S. such as a Bachelor of General Studies.
Thanks for your reply. So are Bachelor degrees with no specific B.A. or B.S. involved still valued the same way? The example you gave was a good one (Bachelor of General Studies)
