Can anyone provide me info on this particular school or its legitimacy. I have been considering the Phd in Hotel Management as a continued education option and this program can allow for distance learning, according to the admin.

I am not sure of their affiliations and or connections with other schools.

Any other Hotel Management options in a doctoral program that one is aware of?

From its web address it is not a British University because that would end in: ac.uk

Unless it has another affiliation with a British University it is not authorised legally to award degrees. That you say it is awarding a 'PhD' is most suspicious. Authority to award post-graduate degrees would suggest a long established record of conducting undergraduate programmes.

I have not heard of anything with this title and suspect it is worthy of the most careful attention and precaution before you believe its marketing and before you part with a single penny.

Would you like a PhD with that?

(alternatively: would you like your PhD in paper or plastic?).

Here's an official list of all British higher education institutions with degree granting powers recognized by the British government (the "recognized bodies"):

    http://www.dfes.gov.uk/recognisedukdegrees/annex4.shtml

And here's an official list of all the various British higher education institutions validated to teach one or more degree programs leading to award of degrees from one of the recognized bodies listed above (the "listed bodies"):

    http://www.dfes.gov.uk/recognisedukdegrees/annex5.shtml

London College of Business and Management doesn't seem to appear on either list.
