    Hi Folks,
I know my rambling about a History doctorate has just about driven everyone nuts, but heres the "skinny" on my academic pursuits!

    Limestone College
Virtual and campus "Brick & Click" , 121 hrs. of the bachelors "thingy"

    Converse College
Brick only, 9 hrs., tranfered for several reasons, some of which, tuition was scorching the family budget and my butt, but most importantly course availability was placing an extension on my preconceived notions of completion time.

    Fort Hays State University
As you know, MLS-History program. I cannot say enough good things about FHSU, always quick to respond to questions, The History faculty is fantastic, they are simply covered up, I try not to "bug'em" much, but when I have too they respond great! The department dean is my advisor! What more can I ask for??!! Yet the tuition is also fantastic! Hope to finish summer 2005

    UNSIA-Fall 2005
Hopefully gain admission, with a topic that will not echo laughter across the Atlantic. The Gentleman at IACI is a great help! I'm forever in debt to everyone for calling this web site to my attention. UNSIA lured me in after some of those British and Aussie schools hurt my feelings in the tuition arena!

I thank Degreeinfo and everyone within it for their help! I must say Degreeinfo, clears up a lot of murky areas related to distant ed. but most importantly those fly by night mills.
I hope ole John Bear ( our 60 mins. star)"keeps on keppin' on" by making it tough on those operators!
    Thanks again folks!
    Gavin

Hi Gavin - There's been a lot said on this forum about UNISA and much of it has been from people (myself included) who have had no real connection with this school. I hope you will keep us updated as to your progress and also tell us more about the process as this seems to be the primary stated aversive element that keeps people away from this school.
    Good luck,
    Jack
