I have been on corporate tuition reimbursement for a year now, however, my company has recently eliminated this benefit. I am now forced to look for the most affordable DL program for either an Associates level, or a Bachelors level. Can someone recommend an option for me. I am currently taking courses at BAKER College Online. I am registered in their BSBA program. They charge 170 per credit hour, however, this degree requires 201 credit hours, I have 36 under my belt, therefore, my degree expenses would total $28,050 not including books. Please provide advice to a poor boy who wants to learn!

    Thanks!

    not DL, but...

The School of Adult Learning at U of Indianapolis (not IUPUI) has some interesting campus-based programs.

(Full disclosure: I teach a class or two a year for them.)

IU Bloomington is probably your best bet for DL programs in Indiana.

Are you not entitled to financial aid?

I am pretty sure I will not qualify for any financial aid. The entire $ will be out of my wallet.

If you don't mind bouncing around a bit, LSU is the cheapest RA school you're going to find. They offer tons of classes but not a complete degree program. LSU to FHSU is going to be your least expensive route by far. My wife is doing taking the same path.

Thank-you all for your sound advice! This website is such a valuable tool for many of us.

Pugbelly, can you tell me what institution is FHSU?

    Thanks!

    To me it looks like
    http://www.indiana.edu/distance/
covers most of the bases. As for the question of affordability, that's a bit of a squishy concept. If you can say exactly how much you can afford then you'll get a more precise answer. Otherwise, if you can't afford the state university in your own state then chances are you'll be directed to Oz or ZA. Good luck,
    Jack

Pugbelly, can you tell me are all of the exams from LSU independent proctored for the online courses? Your advice of piggy backing from LSU to FHSU does seem to be the best economical choice. The best part is I will receive RA credits that can be transferred anywhere I may choose.

Exams for LSU courses are all proctored. My wife takes hers for free at the local public library.
