Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm an ESL teacher in Japan and want to make a switch from ESL to teaching back in the USA. I have an MS Ed from Cal State Hayward in Online Teaching and Learning and 2 professional RIATT Certifications in Assistive Technology. But I have no teaching certifications in the USA. http://sehd.binghamton.edu/pdr/assistivetechnology/index.html I've found that I'm interested in teaching learning disabilities, specifically Visually Disabled. Can someone give me some pointers in finding an online program in this area? Thank you.
I didn't udnerstand: - Are you interested in teaching ESL to blind and visually impaired students (sounds very interesting to me, tell me if such a programme exists for my wife, who is also a teacher); - Or, are you interested in teaching ESL to students with learning disabilities? [as far as I know, learning disabilities are things like dyslexia) - Or teaching one of these two groups (or both of them) in general, and would like to be certified as a special education teacher?
