Looks like London External is dropping geography. Too bad: their BSc was the only physical geography program around. Is this an effort to drop low enrolment programs in favour of new programs with higher fees? Several years ago they dropped their math degree.

    From http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/undergraduate/geography/structure_bsc.shtml

“Applications are currently not being accepted for these programmes as it is anticipated that they will be withdrawn by the University. Current students should be aware that examinations will continue to take place each year until May 2009 when the last examinations will be held. Prospective students are advised that the latest information about these programmes will be placed on this page as soon as it becomes available.”

Yes, and my cheap LL.M. program will be phased out as of 2006 and is now being replaced by a MUCH more expensive LL.M.
