Hi, Can anyone out there tell me whether or not there is a difference between Healthcare Administration vs. Health Services Administration? Thanks
I suspect that there is a difference although I need to say up front that I'm uncertain of my answer. My guess is this: Healthcare Administration covers a wider range of activities that occur within a healthcare environment. If you work as an Healthcare Administrator in a hospital then you might deal with everything from the janitors to the electricians to the mail room to the laundry. Healthcare Services Administration, however, may deal primarily with the administration of the actual healthcare services (Respiratory therapy, Outpatient surgery, etc.) Please, don't go on what I say though. Ask this question of the universities that offer the respective programs. Jack
