This institution advertises it's dl doctorates in magazines, such as The Economist.

Anyone have any actual information about it?

It's web site "www.sju.edu" is down.

There seems to be a respectable University of San Jose in Costa Rica. Several US colleges have junior year abroad programs there.

If we're talking about Empresarial University in Costa Rica, then there are serious questions about it. For example, the DL programs are run from the U.S. Also, they're done in English (I don't even know if they can be done in Spanish). Degrees are awarded in most fields, but there doesn't seem to be a sufficient faculty to back them up. Finally, it was determined that they don't have the authority to award the doctorates they do.

If we're not talking about Empresarial, excuse me.

Using the Wayback Machine, I see we are, indeed, talking about Empresarial University. Please note my cautions above. Any more information about this quirky little school would be great.

It's been pretty well established that Douglas doesn't know Jack.
