This is probably a question that the legal fraternity will have more hard and fast opinions on - but how would you rate the general utility value of something like a Master Jurisprudence qualification if you worked as a Police Officer or Detective ?

Has any one here tackled one and how did you find it - was it weighty going or a good combination of sociology, psychology, criminology, research methods, stats, broad law concepts etc.

How does the programme at Sydney University stack up to that offered by any of the top 10 schools in the USA that offer these (whether via residency or D/L).

I have heard some people disparage jurisprudence as being a soft alternative and very very broad in its scope, but I be interested to hear some views by those who've been there and done that (and if there was an Alumni Shop, then they probably brought the T-Shirt to prove it too ! LOL ;-)
