The School of Education

The School of Education prepares outstanding leaders committed to the reform and continuous improvement of education. Graduates will be prepared to assume leadership roles within organizations, academia, not-for-profit agencies, corporate training environments and the K-12 domain. The School of Education offers Learners the opportunity to customize a program of study through a selection of several specializations such as: Educational Leadership, Organizational Leadership, Exceptional Student Education, and Higher Education Leadership, among others.

Master of Education (M.Ed.)

The M.Ed. enables Learners to develop individual skills for solving particular educational and/or organizational problems, whether in teaching, supervision, or administration, while keeping solutions in balance with organizational, institutional, community, or school system needs and expectations. This program prepares Learners with professional skills at the graduate level and for doctoral study.


Doctor of Education (Ed.D.)

The Ed.D. is often the terminal degree of choice for the educational leader practitioner in PK-12 and higher education institutions, corporate learning environments and the not-for-profit agencies. The Ed.D. experience at NCU blends academic studies with your work setting culminating in an applied dissertation project that is relevant to your career.


Doctor of Philosophy in Education (Ph.D.)

The Ph.D. in Education is the ideal program for those who want to combine a strong base of theoretical knowledge with an individualized focus to conduct research in PK-12, postsecondary and adult learning environments, and higher education teaching.
