Any French speaking people here can provide some information about Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (Graduate School of Management) in France? It seems that there are tons of ESC schools. How does it organized? Any people have experience with ESC-Pau's English online MBA? ------------------ Jonathan Liu http://www.geocities.com/liu_jonathan/distance.html
The French "Ecoles Superieures de Commerce" are tertiary education institutions. They habe been founded by the chambers of commerce. The following ESC are Grandes Ecoles : Amiens, Bordeaux, Brest, Clermont, Dijon, Grenoble, Le Havre, Lille, Marseille, Montpellier, Pau, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Toulouse. In France the Grandes Ecoles are regarded higher than the universities. The Graduate School of Management in Pau is a Grande Ecole, therefore an excellent school.
The French ESC's are Grande Ecoles. They are highly selective and prestigous business schools that only accept the best French secondary school students.
Not all ecoles are recognized outside France. If the diploma and degree are not of the National Format they may not get evaluated as equivalent to accredited degree. Some people with very good education from Ecoles in France had problems with their Private Institution issued degree. Validate, Validate, Validate. Lerner
The French Grandes Ecoles are very well respected around the world. We sure don't have any problem with them in Canada. If you want to learn more about the Grandes Ecoles, visit the following website for the "Conference des Grandes Ecoles". http://www.cge.asso.fr/cadre_pres_en.html You'll notice that there are 226 members of the association. 181 are from France. EP Montreal and HEC Montreal are the Canadian members, and both are TOP schools. There are members in Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal. I did not go through the whole list, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are members scattered throughout Africa and the Middle East. This "Conference" seems to be similar to something like the "Association of Commonwealth Universities"
