Anyone have actual teaching experience with the eCollege platform?

I don't instruct, but I use it as an administrator to help with student retention. You're welcome to see if I can answer any questions about it.

I am interested in anyone who has taken eCollege courses to teach online. What is their opinion of the eCollege platform for teaching online? Not hearsay but actual experience.

I like the eCollege platform. The particular version I am familiar with tracks time spent by the student to whatever level you design(including charts and percentages). A nice feature as it allows for the instructor to evaluate the student (good or bad) in relation to the time spent on the material. It also allows for tracking of mandatory login and participation. Easy to post material of most any file format, good communication tools, and if you have the appropriate user rights you can function as an adminstrator to design certain areas. The only downside I can complain about is I did not like the way we had the topic sorting for new posts.

If you do a search on the forum there was a discussion awhile back on some of the various platforms.

    Regards,
