WAUC School Candidate for IACBE Accreditation

European University of Lefke which is "fully accredited" by the WAUC (http://www.web-hed.com/wauc/universities.htm) is a candidate for International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).

Click on "IACBE Members", then "View Alphabetical Listing", and finally click on the letter "E" (second school under E).

I guess this situation kind of mirrors ACCIS....???

The European University of Lefke makes no mention of WAUC on its home page, although they are listed on that of WAUC. EUL is accredited by the governments of TRNC (itself often not diplomatically recognized) and of Turkey proper. One wonders why they bothered with worthless WAUC, or if they still do.

 

Alas, click the link labelled "international recognition" under the Events Calendar on the home page and you get to http://www.lefke.edu.tr/international/intrec.htm which mentions WAUC twice.

I'm beginning to have real doubts about IACBE, though. They also seem to have granted accreditation to the American University in London.
