UK LD univ offering GERMAN diplomas/certificates

hello.
does anybody know about UK distance learning universities offering certificates/diplomas ( NOT just the B.A or M.A in german ) in GERMAN?
I know only of Open University.
I am in the EEC.

 

Given the parlous state of language teaching in the UK, you'll be very lucky to find anything.

I've been looking myself for a German course recently, and apart from the OU, all the ones I've found have been part-time at various colleges or universities. When it comes to distance learning in relatively unfashionable subjects in the arts in the UK, the OU is pretty much the only game in town.

There are a few GCSE and A level German courses available by DL, if that would be any help?

The Institute of Linguists (http://www.iol.org.uk/), although not a university, has a Diploma in Translation (German to English) via distance learning and are well regarded in the field of translation.
