I enrolled last week into TSU's BSCS program. I will be taking 3 courses Programming Methods, Cobol, and Networking. If anyone has any experiences with this school and these courses please share.

    Thanks

    JAYSOULL,

Troy University is not bad at all. I almost complete my second term. Yeah, I am taking Cobol and Prog Method this term...and still working on it. Some of the assignment is hard to understand, but the professor always there to help you and other classmates. Most of the exam are BlackBoard System, time is limited...no proctor is required.

Well, good luck........Any question, just email me...

    Semper Fidelis,

Are you taking cobol and programming methods in term I or II? Do you thing the cobol and programming language classes are difficult? Lastly, what other classes have you taken so far? I'm going to take 3 classes (cobol, programming methods, computer networks) in term II do you think that is feasible for someone who isn't working fulltime?

I have been enrolled at TSU for 6 terms. I am also in the BSCS program. I am taking COBOL this term. So I guess Tekman and I are in the same class.

Not working full-time? I think you can do 3 courses. Working full-time and taking 2 courses are about right.

If you are familiar with the concepts in programming, you will have no problems understanding COBOL and Programming Methods. I can't really say how easy the Networking class was because I do networking for a living. I found it easy. I am taking Data Communications this term and it looks to be similiar to the Networking class. However, I think it introduces some more advanced topics. I took 2 CS classes in the same term and I will never do it again. I had two projects due the same week and it drove me crazy. I usually take one CS class and one non-CS class each term.
