My professional association has a link to this school and advertises them on their educational website. Any opinions on the following? Is this a less then wonderful school?

Accreditations, Authority to Operate, Affiliates, Co-op's

The International University / College of Security, Technology & Management operates Legally under the guidelines set forth, and given by, The Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education, the official governing body in The State of Missouri. TIU is also Chartered and in good standing with The Secretary of State in Missouri & Utah as a non-profit educational and religious institution. TIU is currently privately accredited with the Accreditation Governing Commission-USA., and have achieved "Fully Accredited Status" with, CCL, Commission for Continuous Learning, London, Facilitators of Professional Educational Standards Worldwide. CCL is a "UK Qualifications" institution, which is recognized as the official body of Accreditation in the United Kingdom.

The International University has been operating from Missouri since the days when that state was a haven for such operations. It is not, nor has it ever been, accredited by a recognized agency. A little research (in this board's threads or in Bears' Guides) will reveal much.

The "official" body is Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education . Here is a good summary: http://www.hero.ac.uk/uk/studying/information_for_international_students/quality_assurance_agency_for_h442.cfm

Doing a google search on CCL brings up several rather interesting "schools" that have been discussed here before.
