Hey all -- Found this on cfo.com, the web site of CFO magazine, which is a trade publication for finance executives. Their suggestion for finding an MBA school is to follow where the headhunters recruit from. Their list of top schools, at http://www.cfo.com/article.cfm/3011791/4/c_306176, includes: * China Europe International Business School (China) * Columbia Business School (US) * Cornell University — Johnson School (US) * Duke University — Fuqua School of Business (US) * HEC School of Management (France) * INSEAD (France and Singapore) * IMD (Switzerland) * London Business School (UK) * Manchester Business School (UK) * Massachusetts Institute of Technology — Sloan School of Management (US) * McGill University - Faculty of Management (Canada) * National University of Singapore — NUS Business School * New York University — Leonard N. Stern School of Business (US) * Northwestern University — Kellogg Graduate School of Business (US) * Stanford University — Graduate School of Business (US) * University of California at Los Angeles — Anderson School of Management (US) * University of Chicago — Graduate School of Business (US) * University of Pennsylvania — Wharton School (US) * Yale School of Management (US) * York University — Schulich School of Business (Canada) Just thought it was an interesting list. Since the topic of ratings has been raised... The Harris Interactive ratings (based on input from 3,000 MBA recruiters) were published yesterday: http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories.pl?ACCT=104&STORY=/www/story/09-22-2004/0002257035&EDATE=
Intersting that Haas (Berkley) is ranked #1 at US News and World report, 15 on the second link, and didn't make the rankings on the other. I would like to see the formula for all of these.
Interesting list, but why would the have University of Toronto (Canada) and Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) (Mexico) in their regional list and not in the international? Is Canada and Mexico part of the US already? I was surprised to see Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in 7th place. The name is similar to the old MIGS (Monterrey Institute of Graduate Studies) but I guess that the similarities stop there.
