Dr. Bear, the Christian Congregation hasn't been in N.C. in more than 20 years. They are located at 804 W. Hemlock, LaFollette, TN. The General Superintendent is Ora Wilbert Eads. They don't have much of a web presence but it's http://www.netministries.org/see/churches/ch10619?frame=N They claim roots in the Restoration Movement, especially the preaching and teaching of Barton Warren Stone. They claim as founders James L. Puckett, Isaac V. Smith, and John Chapman. To my knowledge they still issue honorary doctorates. They require an I.Q. test for ordination.
