Hello Everyone, I'm new to the forums and I was happy to find you because I almost got suckered into Kennedy -Western. Luckily, I found this forum before they got my money. I would like your opinion as to which college would be the best fit for somebody like me. A little background info. I’m 47 years old and have been working professionally for about 27 years. I don't have a lot of college credits, probably 25 or 30. Sixteen of those credits were recently earned at a community college where I received a CIS Certificate. The rest of the credits were earned 27 years ago and I can’t even remember what classes I took. I recently got outsourced after 20 years and my goal is to get a degree as quickly as possible. Of course I need to get a job sooner then the degree but I would like to get started. I have a lot of experience but no sheepskin and in today’s job market I feel inadequate without that degree. I would like to get my BA/BS degree in either business with an IT minor or just a straight BA degree. After reading through this forum, I like Charter Oak State College because of its portfolio assessment program (and low math requirement) but I am also intrigued by Western Governors University. Tuition is also a concern and is Matriculation necessary? I know that you get a lot of these questions from newbies and I value your patience. All opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Excelsior College and Thomas Edison are similar to Charter Oak. Excelsior has the School of Business and Technology which may have the type of degree you're looking for. https://www.excelsior.edu/portal/page?_pageid=57,52632&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL
