Okay, breath...I am so mad right now! I just received a call from the very same university that previously told me that they had to lower my GPA due to them not accepting some CLEP exams on my transcript. Now, I found out that my GPA should have never been tampered with because at there school if you are already a college graduate seeking seconded degree your GPA is not to be recalculated. The admission director told me that they will accept me in the spring, but I told her no thank you. Okay, I now understand from my conversion with the admission director that if you already have a college degree and want to attended another university to obtain a second degree then you should not apply as a transfer student. My question to everyone on the message board is: "If I'm not to apply as a transfer student then what?"
The smart thing to do would be to talk with them first. Most Universities have very specific requirements for those seeking a second Bachelor's degree. It usually involves 30 credits of new work and fulfilling the normal major requirements. They usually waive all general ed requirements. Are you enrolled in a Psychology Master's program now? Which one?
Thanks for response At the moment I'm have not found the ideal Masters program suited for my needs. In the meantime, I have been looking at a second-degree program to help increases my grade point average just a little bit more in the hopes of that making my choices of graduated schools more diverse. I was wondering if other people on the message board have taken extra college course after graduation to help bring up there GPA?
