I understand that CSU-DH is working towards getting its MBA program certified through the AACSB. Hopefully this will occur within the next year. That would be a great move for this program. I have completed my second course for the on-line MBA program and found that it was more valuable than a great many classes I have taken at SJSU and CSU-Hayward.
If I understand your question correctly, no. CSU-DH is working towards getting its AACSB accredidation. A lot of other CSU's including Hayward, Chico, SJSU, and other already have this. (so do most of the big name Universities such as Stanford, Princeton, etc.)
No, what I meant was are they members yet. The first step for accreditation is to become a member, then onto the full accreditation status. Membership does not guarantee accreditaiton, but is is the first hurdle.
You probably know a lot more about it than me, but I gather that they have an AACSB accreditation working group that's been making adjustments to bring the School of Management programs into alignment with AACSB standards. One thing that might conceivably slow it down a little is the fact that CSUDH's MBA program is so DL heavy. DL MBA students outnumber on-campus students two to one, I hear. That's no reason for AACSB to reject them, but it might make the process a little less straight forward than it would be with a more traditional program. I don't know how closely AACSB looks at stuff like DL delivery formats. Good to hear! I'm kinda sentimental about CSUDH, being an alum.
