I got one of these degrees several years ago when I lived in Morgantown. I just wanted to take a few semesters of Spanish in my spare time. They took a look at my records and found that all the classes I have taken here and there across the nation over the last decade or so added up to quite a few hours. The head of the program was, at that time, Dr. Ann Patterson. She called me in and told me that I only needed five classes to get a Regents BA with a concentration in languages/linguistics. I figured "why not?" and took classes I was interested in and now have the degree. I do not know of any online or distance aspect to the program but the people at WVU could not have been more helpful.
Patrick Thanks for the info. They are starting to offer some online classes. You now must have 24 credits through W. Va. You also need 40 upper level.
