Whilst searching through the University of Adelaide's Barr Smith Library today, I happened upon a pristeen copy of the International Handbook of Universities, 2003 edition, a UNESCO publication through the International Association of Universities.

Out of curiosity I looked up the country of Liberia, which is listed on page 1313. There are, according to this edition, only two universities in Liberia - one public, one private.

    Public:

University of Liberia - Founded in 1851 as Liberia College, it became a university in 1951. Responsible to the Ministry of Education and is financed by the State.

    Private:

African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) - Founded in 1995, it is accredited by the Commission of Higher Education and the University of Liberia.

No listing for Saint Regis University.

    Cheers,

    George

I guess we need to wait for the 2004-2005 edition to come out so we can burst that bubble too.
