I passed the CLEP Intro to Psychology today with a 64. To prepare, I read the first four chapters of a (free to me) intro psych book, and did all of the assignments in those four chapters. I also used Cheryl Spencer's book from E-bay. That was worth the six bucks.

All told, I studied for about a week, off an on, but faithfully. The exam made me think a lot, and I used process of elimination a great deal. I also marked those questions I wasn't sure of, and then went back to them after I was done with all of the questions so I could answer those I didn't know with perhaps a bit more information. I had about a half hour left when I completed the exam.

Total cost for 5 quarter credits:

    $15 for testing center
    $60 for CLEP test
    $6 for study guide

Now, if those videos for statistics ever arrive, I'd like to finish up the DSST stat exam before fall quarter starts next month.

Great job! If you keep on taking exams at that pace, it will all come together quicker than you may think.

    Recognition...Cool...

Thanks! I got the standard deviation stat tapes in the mail today. Hopefully what a text and what I learned in the stat class I washed out of, along with the tapes and some tutoring from my wife (a former stat teacher, of all things!) I can nail that exam by months end. Or at least pass it! Sheesh!

I picked up a giant book on American History today at a used book store that has a bunch of civil war and reconstruction sections, so I can take the DSST "The Civil War and Reconstruction" exam. Then if I pass the the DSST "Here's to Your Health" exam and take one more english comp class (my school dislikes the CLEP english, for some dumb reason), I'll be a junior at Bellevue University in September. Heehee :D

    Sean,
See if your school accepts the TECEP English Comp I - although more expensive than a CLEP (around $125/credit hour) it's dead easy - I got a 96/100. If you need more credit CLEP Analyzing and Interpreting Literature is an easy 6 credits.

Here's To Your Health is another easy 3 credits - some light study will give you a straightforward pass. Also, DANTES Intro to Computing is another option if you have at least basic computer skills.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Is that the real name of Xenia34? If so do you have contact information for those of us interested in buying from her but not through eBay/PayPal?
