Hello everyone. I am trying to do some research in order to choose a topic for a Soc paper. The problem is I am getting lost in the black hole of cyberspace. I try to access journal sites and I am unable to. Can anyone offer any suggestions???? Thanks.
I may be able to help you...why do you want to do the research? What search engine are you using? What are you trying to access? Do you know what articles you want?
Getting to the sites is one thing, getting the articles is something else. Usually you can get to the sites, but unless you, or your school, has access (usually a subscription) you may not be able to goe to the actual article (with some exceptions, of course). Your school may have a a subscription to several journal repositories. Check with the librarian.
Check with your college's library to see if you can access EBSCOhost. This is a fabulous online database with thousands of full-text articles from hundreds of scholarly and popular journals. I have found it to be an invaluable resource. Tony Pina Cal State U. San Bernardino
As I have written elsewhere, Findarticles.com might help you. They have several academic journals online.

Re: Political Science and Sociology Journals Online I don't know if you'll find what you need at this excellent site Tom suggested, but I used it with great and SPEEDY success in writing my concentration essay for COSC. I found it from a reference here on Degreeinfo! Good luck and best wishes!
