I have over 100 semester credits from 5 different schools. (phew). Most of them are in lower division classes. I went from literature to cis and I'm planning on going back to literature and creative writing.

I've applied to both ESC and EC.

Since I live in NY ESC sounds very attractive. I could do everything independently but I could be connected to a center in case I wanted to go to a physical "campus" It looks like I could do a lot of independent study through learning contracts which appeals to me. I'd have to be extremely disciplined, however, but if I had contracts with a fair number of assignments it could work. I probably wouldn't need to go in too often as well.

Excelsior is expensive at the beginning (but I'm getting the impression that how much I would spend overall depends on a lot of factors) and I assume I'd either do testing out of classes or they would find me online classes to complete my degree.

ESC sounds like its more my style in that I could design my coursework but I'm still not sure.

Any advice or tips about either of these institutiions would be lovely.
