The latest name of International Correspondence Schools, oldest distance learning program in the US still going (since 1890s), DETC-accredited, thus good acceptance in the business world and fair in the academic world.

In addition to John Bears information, TED is also based in many other nations. In Australia they are listed as a "Registered Training Organisation" and offer "Certificate II" to diploma programs.

I also know that they are a registered private vocational school in Canada. I have been told that the courses are easy with open-book exams. In the UK, I still believe they use the name ICS and offer everything from "A-Levels" to an MBA.

couple of questions related to this school

for someone currently enrolled in one of education direct's associate degree programs...(finance) who would like to eventually work their way up to an MBA ...

when i finish the associate's what would be the best "next step"?

i cant seem to find a bachelor's program from them... would i have to transfer to another school for that and back to do the MBA?

    am i missing something obvious?

also im currently unemployed... will this associate's degree be enough to help me enter the job market ?

I have ordered some courses from Education Direct to fullfill some of my degree requirements at TESC. I special ordered only the courses that were reviewed by ACE. From my understanding, not all of the courses at ED are ACE reviewed courses.

In this case you would have to either search for a DETC school that would accept them or try to find a RA college that would accept the courses. Not sure what your chances of this happening?

not sure... may look into doing something like TESC or Exelsior... even if i have to start over... my only concern about that is cost... unless i find work i just see NO way to pay for one of those schools (

maybe if i hadnt already started education direct it would be different... as it is im near the end of my first semester....

if its going to help me find work though.... i should be ok...i dont have any problem with spending as much as i need to, once i actually have a little to spend....

as it is...my financial situation is bleak enough... education direct was affordable.. but something even a little more expensive wouldn't be...

I called ACE and had them email me a PDF of all of the courses that were ACE reviewed. As long as they will fit into your degree program TESC will accept them.
