    Hi everyone!

Well, as I had stated in a previous posting, I was scheduled to take two CLEP exams today -- Principles of Management, and Analyzing and Interpreting Literature. I took the Principles of Management, but the proctor could not locate the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature on the testing system. I asked her if it would be possible for me to take another test in place of that, and she said I could, so I did. I ended up taking Introduction to Educational Psychology in place of the Analyzing and Interpreting Literature test that I couldn't take. Here are my results:

    Management - Score: 68
    Educational Psych. - Score: 57

I just thought I'd let everyone know how I did.

    Have a great day,

    Sara

Congratulations, Sara! How close are you to finishing?

BTW, it's been so long since I CLEP'd out of English, I don't remember anymore -- what's the "passing" mark, at least at your uni?

    Cheers,
    Adrienne

    Adrienne,

I'm probably about a year away from completing my Bachelor's Degree in Public Safety Management through Franklin University. I will probably CLEP test out of Economics and Accounting yet. I don't believe I can CLEP out of the rest of the courses I need to take, which include Statistics, Accounting II, and H.R. Management. I wish I could!

At my university, I believe I have to score at least 50 on all CLEP tests to pass them. The nice thing is that I will get eight credit hours for the two tests I passed on Friday, because the university will transfer them in at four credit hours each.

    Thanks!

    Sara

    mrc0703,

No, I didn't study for it. I do, however, work in the educational field, and have taken a child development college course before. I think both of these factors helped me, to some extent.

    Have a great day,

What about the management clep, any insight for us?

    bceagles,

I studied for that test using the COMEX book. That was the only book I really used (well, I had read about a chapter out of a management textbook, but I don't think that contributed much to my success.)

    Have a great day,

    Sara

  15. Sara,

Does your school accept DANTES or Excelsior College Exams? You could take DANTES or ECE Statistics and ECE Management of Human Resources. which would at least reduce the number of courses you'd need to take.

Great result on the exams, BTW!

    Cheers,
    Mark

    Mark,

Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't believe my school accepts those exams. I will check into it, but I don't think they accept them.

    Thanks again,

    Sara

    Mark,

I just e-mailed my school to ask them if they accept DANTES tests - they said they do!! I didn't think they did, but they do. Thanks for bringing that up -- I probably wouldn't have asked them if you wouldn't have asked me about it. I just e-mailed them back to ask them if they accept Excelsior College exams.

    Thanks again,

    Sara

  18. Awesome...I checked out the website (franklin.edu) and noticed they mentioned CLEP specifically but the gist seemed to point to any standardized exam. If they also accept ECEs then you'll be in great shape.

    Cheers,
    Mark
