Does anyone know of an inexpensive online survey-level course in corrections? Or an examination? Excelsior has them, but I'm not paying six hundred plus for a 3 credit LL class. Much obliged. Sean
Can you exam your way out of it? What about taking the DANTES Criminal Justice exam? Is that close enough? No time wasted and less than a hundred bucks spent, even if you order a book to bone up on it. -=Steve=-
Thanks. I did take and pass the DANTES Criminal Justice exam. The Excelsior catalog says I need a survery course in corrections, so I'm trying to find an online course, maybe at the community college level. My state seems to be fresh out... Sean
A quick google comes up with: http://dl.clackamas.edu/cja-130.htm http://www.sunyjefferson.edu/distance/olcourses.htm http://www.potomacstatecollege.edu/distance-learning/criminal-justice/cj.html http://spectrum.troyst.edu/%7Etsufl/cj/cj2231-t%20skinner-t1-04-dl.pdf Angela
I think I'll see if Excelsiors "CJ 303: Corrections and Criminal Justice" will cover this requirement. At least it's upper division, and that's what I need these days. My thanks to you all. Sean
Spmoran try http://www.pccc.cc.nj.us/library/courses.html You have your choices from Intro to corrections to Institutional Treatment of Offenders or Community Corrections and a 3 credit online course will run you about 270 (plus the books).
This is cool. It looks like the online courses are 90 bucks no matter where you live. I appreciate this information! Sean
