Hi, I am new to this forum and very impressed for all of you are there to help everyone out of their problems. It gave me the courage to share my problems with you so that I could get some kind of solutions. I have a Bachelor Degree(in IT) from India. Now in the U.S I want to my Master's.I found so many Online Universities with so many degrees. But before making any decision I would like to know : 1. How much these online degrees are valued? Are they of equal value if some do the same course from campus? 2. I have inquired with some Univ the masters cost about $20k. I dont have so much money to invest a s I'm not working now.Is there any univ that cost a bit less? Thank you in advance.
You did not say what you were interested instudying, unless the (IT) was the clue. As to your questions: this all depends on the school, some are very good, and identicle with the on-campus version, others not. Some are better. Depedning on the school and the program figure between $3,000 to $100,000 (+). State supported schools in the state of your residence will generally be lower cost. Privet schools higher. For a guidance see: http://bain4weeks.com/mastermenu.html If you are looking at IT see: American College of Computer & Information Sciences American InterContinental University Online Athabasca University Bellevue University Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Capitol College Central Missouri State University East Carolina University Illinois Institute of Technology Jones International University Marquette University Memorial University of Newfoundland New York University New York University Northwest Missouri State University Northwestern University Norwich University Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Royal Roads University Salt Lake City, Utah Southern Methodist University Southern Polytechnic State University Syracuse University The University of Texas at Dallas (School of Management ) Touro University International University of Maryland University College University of Oregon University of Tulsa University of Washington Western Governors University
Thank you for the info Hi, Thanks a lot for your information. I'll definitely find out the details of these universities. Thank you
Hi Barsana: Welcome to the board, and good luck in your search. Just in case you missed it, there is also an IT and computer related degree forum here. (I often look at stuff and don't see it, so please don't think I think something's wrong with you because I'm stating the obvious.) I hope you can find expert advice here and a program that suits your needs and your finances. Janko
Hello Mike, Can you please tell me which universities online degrees are valued as much as campus programs? I would like to do Masters in computer Science / information systems or MBA. Please help. Thank you in advance.
In general programs where there is a regular (on campus) program and a DL program that track 1:1. That is where they are the same except for delivery method. If the programs can be taken either way interchangably that is even better. As to specific programs I have no information in the area you are interested in. But as to Industrial Engineering/Engineering management programs like: http://www.learn.colostate.edu/degrees/industrial.asp and http://www.engdl.uah.edu/
