I am looking into obtaining an MBA from the same school I received my undergraduate degree....do you think this is looked down upon?
Also, what if during the process of achieving my Master's I decided to move....would most credits transfer to a different school?

Probably would depend more on what the school was (how well recognized the MBA). But probably not (unless it is KWU or similar).

Most graduate schools have a limit on the number of credits you can transfer in. This is a school by school issue and it can depend on what school you are transfering from and to. But do not count on more more than 9 credits (3 classes) transferring without a lot of groveling.

Taking an MBA from the same school isn't a big deal. Employers aren't looking for that amount of variety. In academia, it might be looked at if your degrees all came from the same school, but even that isn't a big deal. I wouldn't let that be a criterion for selecting your MBA program.

As for transfer credit, I've seen it range, typically, from 6-12 s.h., with 9 being the norm. But don't discount the groveling. I transferred in 18 s.h. (24 q.h., actually) for my MBA. I was a military officer at the time and moved twice. I transferred credits into the program, then had to finish at another school, transferring credits back. They waived the transfer credit limit (9 s.h.--15 q.h. actually).

In all, I took 4 courses from Chapman University, 8 from National University, then 4 from Webster University, graduating from National with an MBA. It took two waiver requests and a bit of groveling, but National finally approved it.
