    Hi everyone

Firstly, may I commend everyone on the quality of the postings here – intelligent, balanced and above all helpful!

Now I have quite a large query which I would appreciate some help on! I have posted before on this but i didnt go into as much detail (although i did recieve some helpful advice - thanks! :)

I live in the UK – I have a Ba (Hons) in Radio, Film & Television studies + English.

I am looking to further my education with either another honours degree or a masters degree using distance learning – although at this stage I have several areas of study that interest me!

Animation would be my first choice and I know there is a course at San Francisco's Academy of Art University but im not sure if its accredited or not – i.e. is the course respected by potential employers!

Failing that I was looking at media related/visual communications/journalism style ones – something at least related to my present degree. UK uni’s don’t seem to do much in the way of distance learning in these areas so im assuming the US does! Reading all these messages though just confuses me due to the amount of Universities, whether they are reputable or not, what accreditation means as well as the different types etc.

As I don’t really have the means to investigate each university thoroughly, I need to narrow it down to ones that are:

    a) reasonably priced
    b) have a fleixible distance learning course that doesn’t require me to be online at certain times
    c) has a decent accreditation that future employers will respect
    d) Do anything like Journalism/Media/communications/Visual arts type stuff
    e) an overall sound reputation and history

Ideally ones that people attend themselves and can vouch for

I know this is a broad request but im just confused by the sheer amount and range of types of university out there!

    Thanks

    J
