Aspen University - MBA (Project Management)

    Howdy ya'll-

    I've reviewed other threads for people's general comments on Aspen University, and they have been quite favorable. They also appear to be the only DETC-accredited "Bear approved" school.

    I have added Aspen's MBA (PM focus) to my short-list of graduate programs, and I have come up with a few questions about their program:

    --Has anybody else here gone through their MBA program?
    --What are your opinions on their course delivery technology?
    --Did you find the course work challenging and applicable to the real world?
    --How would you rate the faculty?
    --Did you discover the degree to have good employment utility? (This is important to me, considering the DETC accreditation).

    Thank you, I appreciate everybody's assistance thus far as I try to nail down both a career direction (there's no nuclear work in Colorado) and an educational track.

    I don't know that John Bear necessarily approves any school (well, perhaps Michigan State :cool: ).

    Certainly Aspen is a legitimate school with legitimate offerings and is, in my opinion, one of the top two or three DETC schools. My guess is that eventually it will become regionally accredited (which makes them an even better choice).

    If I were to consider getting an MBA from a DETC school, it would be the only choice for me. And I would say that even if I didn't like Mary Adams so gosh-darn much! :D

    *blush* Thanks, Tom. Some day we will actually have to meet! We are holding a graduation ceremony tomorrow. 14 graduates attending, three from Tanzania, one from Canada, one from Japan and the rest from the US. It will be small, but wonderful I think!

    Hope all is well with you. I don't post much but I do read a lot!

    Thanks for the info, Tom. Just out of curiosity, what are the other two DETC schools you consider tops? (I'm also considering a program at Columbia Southern University).
