Has anybody else had this experience with Excelsior?

    Hey,

I was just curious if anybody around here that has either applied for the unofficial review or actually enrolled with Excelsior College has received any phone calls from numbers that appear as "unknown"? I've received several here lately with the latest (I'm assuming) being tonight at around 8:15 (I wasn't home). It's kind of weird because I am almost positive Excelsior is closed around this time....

The call I did pick up on two nights ago was a lady representing herself from Excelsior... as she made reference to some of my prior activity... unofficial review, etc. She asked me if I wanted her to have a Admissions Representative call me at which case I said, "no", because after all, I'm already enrolled. She began to laugh really hard and made some kind of remark to another representative as she continued laughing and then cut me off (hung up).

I called Excelsior and voiced my opinion (which wasn't a good one) and the girl was very apologizing of what had happened but said they kept a record of all their communication (and the last communication with them was July 1). However, the rude caller was also keeping tabs on when I had been called -- as I wanted to identify the other "unknown" numbers....and the representative (before becoming so unbearable) told me of each time she tried to call. The girl from Excelsior that I voiced my complaint with wanted me to go a little higher with the complaint with another lady in Admissions...who I have yet to get in touch with. She told me that whenever Excelsior called, the main number normally showed up (as it has in the one time in the past they called me). I'm considering, for these reasons, dropping Excelsior and heading to Charter Oak. I'm not really sure what is happening.... but I was always treated with respect at Charter Oak (and before having to dish out an enrollment fee, too).

Anybody had any similar experiences or so forth?

    Cade
