Excelsior Offers Courses Now?

I got a flyer in the mail stating "NOW dozens of new courses ..."
It mentions courses on CD-ROMS, Web-based courses and WebCT courses.

Looks like it is brand new, so no one could have completed them yet.

I wonder how much the new courses will help in completing either an undergraduate MIS or BCSCIS degree from Excelsior.

Anyone have more information and opinions on this?

If they run them along the lines of the Information Literacy course (as far as delivery), the delivery is probably pretty good. I liked the online system. However, that was before they revamped the website, so who knows if it is the same.

Personally, I think they're on the expensive side. $240 per credit hour. I could easily find equivalent distance courses for far less than that. $720 for a 3-credit course, plus the cost of books just seems over the top.

I've picked up some elective courses at Colorado State U and University of North Dakota that were less than $300 a piece, plus books.
