In my searching tonight, I came across this site which looks interesting. http://www.universalclass.com It looks to be basically a portal whereby you (the student) can search for and enroll in a variety of online courses taught by independent instructors. Courses span nearly every conceivable category (Mathematics, Sciences, Accounting, Social Sciences, etc). The courses appear to be non-credit based, although some give CEUs. The couple of courses that I looked at were priced under $100. The reason I am pointing this out is that it might be a good way to "prep" for exams or difficult for-credit courses. For example, I found a course called "Algebra Refresher" ($19): And this one: How To Solve Basic Word Problems ($25) Precalculus - Are You Ready for Calculus? ($40): Thought I'd pass it along - as I am prepping for the CLEP College Algebra/Trig exam, I may poke around and take the algebra refresher before I begin studying the advanced stuff in earnest. Cheers.
