Hi guys, I need help from this great forum.. So here goes. I wanted to do a Masters in MBA or Information Tech at UNCC but i have done my Bachelors in Science from India which is a 3 year program and to do Masters in U.S one requires 4 years. So i was told by them to apply as a transfer student which i thought would cover my extra year of study but then they told that i will need to complete the full Bachelors there as there is no bridge course or anything available. I talked to them but they still say i will need to complete bachelors(3yrs) which is not feasible as ihave already done Bachelors and i work full time. So now i dont know what to do. I think online education would help me. Kindly help me on this as i want to study further. Thanks Alot..
You can apply to other schools, especially ones operated for profit OR If you have 3 years in India and 1 in the US, see what Western Governors University, Excelsior College, Charter Oak State College and Thomas Edison State College offer. They offer degrees consisting of 100% transfer courses. I suspect you may be light on what the US calls distribution requirements. These are general first and second year prescribed courses that the rest of the world considers high school.
Hey Dennis, Thanks for the reply.. Could you explain in detail a bit more.. It would be great help. Thank You.
Try Uni of Phoenix, I was also in the same situation as you. Then U of P told me to take the bridge course. But, I did not want to spend time and money on this bridge course. Later I decided to go to University of Southern Queensland (www.usqonline.com.au ot www.usq.edu.au), I am very happy with the quality there.
Yes Ian it was University of NC Charlotte. Thanks rajyc for the links..what course are you taking there if you could tell me? Yes cost is also a factor for me. Really appreciate all the help. Will look forward for your help rajyc and Ian.. Thanks
Test Out Non-traditional route: Moon you could apply for membership as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) with the British Computer Society. The organization could accept your Bachelor degree directly or prompt you to enter into the "Mature Candidate Route." After completing your IEng title you will be able to transfer into the City & Guilds of London Institute to receive your Graduateship (GCGI). The City & Guilds of London Graduateship diploma maybe more acceptable to the university admission service. However, it also may not satisfy their requirement. Check with your admission office to determine the value of this route.
