You could get a BA or BS in Economics through Excelsior. I just searched through the DistanceLearn database, and the courses look reasonably available. I searched all the required core courses, and found all but 1 for under $300 per course, and the last for under $400. All courses needed for the major, including electives, were listed in the under $500 range. Intro to Macro and Micro economics could be CLEPed, and statistics could be taken as a DSST or ECE. Pretty much all your non-Economics classes through Excelsior could be tested out of relatively iniexpensively. The exact cost would, of course, depend on how you actually put your degree plan together.

    Good Luck!

Hi Kebrit - Yipes! You want cheaper than the University of London? Well, you can look at the programs at Eastern Oregon University, Strayer University, U of Manitoba, U of New England, U of Southern Colorado, U of Wales - Aberystwyth, and U of Waterloo. If none of those are cheaper than the U of L then I'd suggest that you take a long hard look at the University of South Africa. Let us know what you decide, I'd like to know more about these programs.
