Segment two in what we hope will be an ongoing series of exposing people with fake degrees is scheduled for ABC on Wednesday May 16th right after the 7:30 am news -- but always subject to change of both time and day.

The three people, all with Columbia State degrees, are "The Love Doctor" in San Diego, a county court administrator in Tucson, and a university professor in Michigan.

    John,

Great Job! That was a better report than episode number one.

I picked up a Magic 8-Ball the other day and it said 'Outlook not so
good.' I said, 'Sure, but Microsoft still ships it.'

Well done John, for your contribution to this segment (and hopefully series) of exposing people with fake degrees. I did not see the segment, but did read the transcript.
    Several observations:

    1. Can anyone believe that the professor at Cleary did not know CSU was unaccredited?
Well, he is no longer there!

    2. It seems that the Love Doctor is no longer on the air. But did anyone catch it? There was no claim to being a doctor, but her very title was Love Doctor.

    3. The other guy didn't know his degree was bought? Wow! Well, he's on leave while being investigated.

The irony of it all is that none of their degrees were verified or validated prior to employment. I would be curious to know what percent of employers actually verify the credentials of prospective employees.

Keep up the PI work John! [IMG]

Great segment. I'm just wondering how Greg Hunter convinces these people to talk on camera.

Probably by threatening to expose the source of their dogs' fake pedigrees, fake IDs used to buy beer when they were kids, that kind of stuff..... [IMG]

Bruce asks: "I'm just wondering how Greg Hunter convinces these people to talk on camera."

I think each case is different. "The Love Doctor" was on an ABC station. The court administrator was called from NY, and asked if he would talk to Good Morning America, and he eagerly agreed, without asking the topic; he apparently assumed it was a major feature on Arizona court administrators or something.

And the Michigan professor was your basic "ambush interview," marching up to him unannounced on the campus.

What unfortunately didn't get on the air were those the two people flanking the court administrator. They were two senior judges who had come out to defend him, when word got out what was going on. They both said, on camera, that the man should be excused, since he didn't know the school was fake and illegal.

Greg Hunter said, in effect, "You mean you are saying that ignorance of the law IS an excuse?" Later Hunter met with a trial lawyer in Tucson who said that those judges' comments will be coming back to haunt them for years.

"My client didn't know that driving while drunk was illegal. Therefore, based on your comments, your honor, he must be excused."

  8. Dear Reader:

let me congratulate John and others for exposing those "kinky heads" with fake diplomas - I am referring to the GMA report.

Would you consider Colimbia Pacific University a DIPLOMA MILL?

Also, I would suggest that a documentary be done on schools such as WALDEN and SARSOTA which institutions were publicly referred to (including documentation) as DIPLOMA MILLS before they gained regional accreditation.

    There is a lesson Here!!

Also, do you have any information on Ross University in the Caribbean. My wife is interested in applying to study Medicine. In fact her Gynecologist in Oregon is a gradaute of Ross in Dominica. What do you think?
