Earlier this month, at the 36th International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Cheryl Kayahara-Bass gave a paper (which I did not attend) on "Thought, Belief, and Deception as Acts of Volition in St Augustine's Philosophy of Mind." Her institutional affiliation: Trinity College and Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana. (For non-medievalists, Kalamazoo is our annual gathering, and is a reasonably big deal.) jmbp ------------------ J. M. Jon, Is this annual event designed for delegates from regionally accredited schools only? Or can anyone attend and participate? If the latter is the case, then the fact that she was affiliated with TC&S is probably irrelevant. If the former, then what is your take on the matter, and what was the perception of others at the conference? Russell
The 'zoo is open to anyone interested; individual session organisers do any vetting of the papers in their sessions. I was just amused to see someone listing TC&S as her institutional affiliation. jmbp ------------------ J. M. B. Porter, PhD Lecturer in World History
