Does anyone have any particular texts they'd recommend reading for this exam. Certainly the Cracking the Clep and the Official Clep study guide are good resources, but they really only give practice tests and an outline of subject matter. I see that there is a Comex Review book for this exam and also a Hawthorne Universities prep series book. The reviews on amazon don't speak too highly of the Comex book, and I can't find any information on the other one. Does anyone have any advice on a good book that would cover most of the topics in this exam?

    Regarding the Comex book-

This book will help prepare for the exam but it is not enough to pass the test. I was able to pass because I also took the History I, Intro to Sociology, American Government, and General Humanities CLEPS.
Even after I finished the exam, I was not sure if I passed. It is a tough test and this book alone will not be enough to pass.

Read some other CLEP prep books like the ones listed and that should do it.

I used the REA Guides for all my CLEPS. On the General exams, I never had any doubt on the CLEPS as to passing. I think the REA guides are the best investment you can make for passing both General and Subject CLEPS.

My notes on this (and other CLEPS) can be seen in the thread in my signature line ... good luck!
