I have my bachelors in Business Administration and now I am interested in getting my Masters. I have been thinking about teaching (becoming a business/marketing teacher), but I am not 100% for sure. If I get my Masters in Teaching, will this hurt my oppurtunity to move up in the "business world" if I decide not to teach?
Please let me know if you have any advise. Thanks!

If you desire to teach at the high school level the masters in education might have some impact. If you wish to teach at the junior college level or higher in business the masters in education will not be worth much (IMO). A business oriented masters would be better. The masters in education at the collegiate level would only (agin IMO) have some worht in teaching how to teach business.

I would suggest an advbaced business degree would be more generally usefull.

I have a BS and MS in engineering, and decided to teach at the high school level. I took all the education courses I needed to get a teaching license, and find that I am only 3 semester hours short of a Master of Education degree. One of these days I'll finish up those 3 credits.
